It is the attorney's whole fee for the work described. Costs paid to someone else, like court filing or county recording fees, are listed under Important on each line.
Each attorney sets their own fee, turnaround and rush premium, and publishes them here. FlatFeeLawyers never sets, discounts or negotiates a fee.
Each listing shows the attorney's average turnaround in business days, so you can plan around a closing, a move or a court date.
Rush work moves other clients' matters back. Attorneys on FlatFeeLawyers publish their rush premium and rush timeline so you can decide whether speed is worth it before you reach out to the attorney.
Every situation is different, and FlatFeeLawyers isn't a law firm, so we can't tell you whether you need an attorney. An attorney can. Many offer a short paid consultation to talk it through, and where they do, its price is on their listing.
Every attorney's bar number is checked against their state bar's public record. Only attorneys whose license shows Active are listed. Every listing shows the attorney's full name, office address and year admitted.
No. Seeing prices needs no email and no phone number. You contact an attorney only when you decide to.
Yes. Each listing shows the languages the attorney and their office work in. On the search page, the Speaks filter shows only attorneys who work in the language you choose. It's separate from the Español link at the top of the page, which only changes the language of this site.
Results start in alphabetical order by surname. Nobody can pay to move up. You can sort by rating, number of reviews, fee or turnaround instead.
We email your message to the attorney's office and copy you in. Reply to that email to keep talking; FlatFeeLawyers drops out of the conversation. Your engagement letter, payment and file are between you and the attorney.
Sign up, then add your bar number and office address. An admin checks your bar number against your state bar's public record, usually within two business days. You can set your fees while we check, and they go live once you're approved.
We send a one-time code to the email address on your state bar profile, never to the one you signed up with. Entering that code links the listing to you.
Yes, any day. You set your own fee, turnaround, rush premium and rush timeline for each matter. FlatFeeLawyers never sets, discounts or negotiates them.
A reader writes to you from your listing and confirms their email address. We send their message to your office email with them copied in, so replying to it goes straight to them and FlatFeeLawyers drops out. Readers only see your office email once they've written to you, and never the email you use to sign in to FlatFeeLawyers.
Results start in alphabetical order by surname. Readers can re-sort by fee, turnaround, rating or number of reviews. Nobody can pay for a higher place.
A client can rate you only after contacting you through FlatFeeLawyers, once per contact, on time, value, experience, communication and professionalism. Ratings can't be edited. You can rate clients who contacted you too; only that client and attorneys they contact see those ratings.
Yes. Readers can search their whole state, not just their county, so your listing reaches clients across it. If you can do the work by video and your state's rules allow it to be done remotely, turn on video service: your listing says so, and readers who only want video can find you.
Your account controls a public price list with your name on it. A code from an authenticator app means nobody can change your fees with your password alone.
Any time, from your account. Your listing stays up until the end of the month you've paid for, then comes down.
