What we collect, and what we do not.

FlatFeeLawyers publishes attorney advertisements and relays a message from you to the office you choose. It does not sell or share personal information, run advertising networks, or track you across other sites.

Effective date: to be set at launch (draft version draft-2026-10-20) · Draft for counsel review; not yet in force.

1. Who operates this site

This site is operated by the FlatFeeLawyers operating entity (name and address to be confirmed before launch). FlatFeeLawyers is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.

Questions about this notice: the contact address will be published here before launch.

2. What we collect, by who you are

Visitors: nothing that identifies you. Our server keeps ordinary request logs (address, browser type, page requested, time) for up to 30 days for security and troubleshooting. We count how often a schedule or attorney page is viewed; those counts carry no visitor identity. We do not set tracking cookies.

People who message an office through the relay: your name, your email address and the message you type, plus the listing you chose and the time. We pass it to that office. We keep our copy for the retention period on the record schedule (set with counsel) so the office and you can show what was sent.

People with a saved list (an account): your email address, the listings you saved, the messages you sent while signed in, and sign-in times. There is no password. Sign-in links are sent only when you ask for one.

Attorneys: the profile, bar number, office contact details and fees you publish, your account email, your subscription status from the billing provider, and the state bar verification record we keep about you. Every published version of your listing is retained as required by Bus. & Prof. Code 6159.1.

3. Who else sees it

The office you chose receives the message you sent. We do not forward it to anyone else.

Service providers acting for us: the hosting provider (United States), the email delivery provider that carries relay messages and sign-in links, and, for attorneys only, the billing provider that processes subscriptions. Each receives only what its task needs.

We do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context advertising, or give it to data brokers. We disclose it when the law requires or to protect the site from abuse.

No other party collects information about your activity on this site over time or across other sites.

4. Review, change, download, delete

Saved-list accounts: open Saved to download everything we hold about you or delete the account. Deletion is immediate. Messages already delivered to an office stay with that office.

Attorneys: review and change your profile in your account; published versions are retained as the law requires even after you withdraw them.

Anyone else: write to the contact address above and we will answer within 30 days.

5. Changes to this notice

When this notice changes materially we post the new version here with a new effective date and version string. We do not email about changes unless you have an account and the change affects what we hold about you.

6. Do Not Track

We do not track visitors across other sites, so a browser's Do Not Track signal changes nothing: there is nothing to turn off.

7. California residents

FlatFeeLawyers is below the thresholds that make a business subject to the California Consumer Privacy Act. We follow this notice regardless, and the rights above are available to everyone.
